Chabaud Mix Carnation Seed - Dianthus Caryophyllus
Survival Garden Seeds offers a mix of high-quality carnation seeds, ideal for gardeners looking to add classic flowers to their landscape. Our non-GMO seeds are chosen carefully, providing the production of robust, vibrant carnations.
Carnation flowers have been cherished for centuries. In floral arrangements and garden beds, the beauty and fragrance they exude symbolize love and fascination. They are a favorite in bouquets and corsages. Carnations are suitable for growing in many climates, either as perennials in warmer parts of the world or as annuals where the winter comes.
Carnation seeds are started indoors, 6 to 8 weeks before the last expected frost. Alternatively, sow them directly in the garden in spring or fall. Do not cover the seeds with soil but gently press in, allowing light for germination which should occur in 10-21 days. Transplant the seedlings outside, or thin them out to 12 to 18 inches apart, giving them a location in direct sunlight.
Carnations like regular watering to keep the soil consistently moist. Well-draining soil is crucial to prevent root rot. Regularly deadheading dry blooms will encourage continuous flowering. Carnations like fertile soil with plenty of organic matter for successful development and blooming.
Survival Garden Seeds' mix of carnation seeds is the perfect way to get some fragrance into your garden this summer. Beautiful flowers will enlighten the outdoors, with each color prettier than the last.
