What Makes Survival Garden Seeds Different - non-GMO heirloom seeds

Add dramatic color and elegance to your garden with Chocolate Cherry Sunflower Seeds, an heirloom non-GMO variety featuring deep burgundy-to-black petals and rich chocolate-colored centers. These tall, branching sunflowers grow 6–7 feet high and produce 5–8 inch blooms that make a breathtaking statement in borders, garden beds, and fresh-cut arrangements.

Exotic, Vibrant, and Pollinator-Friendly:

  • Produces large, multi-blooming sunflowers with velvety, dark petals and rich chocolate centers.
  • Low-pollen variety—great for allergy-friendly bouquets while still supporting bees and butterflies.
  • Branching habit ensures an abundance of long-lasting flowers from mid-summer through fall.
  • Perfect for cut flowers, wildlife gardens, and colorful landscape borders.

Why Gardeners Love Chocolate Cherry Sunflowers:

  • Eye-Catching Color – Unique burgundy-black tones bring depth and sophistication to the garden.
  • Pollinator Support – Attracts bees, butterflies, and birds while enhancing garden biodiversity.
  • Easy to Grow – Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil across USDA Zones 3–11.
  • Drought Tolerant – Once established, requires only moderate watering.
  • Versatile Planting – Suitable for garden beds, raised planters, or large containers.

How to Grow Chocolate Cherry Sunflowers:

  • When to Plant: Sow seeds directly outdoors after the last frost, once soil warms.
  • Soil & Sun: Prefers well-drained soil and full sun for strongest color and height.
  • Spacing: Plant 12–18 inches apart to allow room for branching growth.
  • Watering: Keep soil evenly moist until seedlings are established, then water weekly.
  • Bloom & Harvest: Expect blooms in 80–90 days, lasting from summer into fall.

Harvest & Use:
Perfect for cut flower arrangements, garden displays, or pollinator habitats, Chocolate Cherry sunflowers offer a striking color contrast that complements golden, bronze, or pastel blooms. Flowers have strong stems and an excellent vase life. Allow heads to dry at the end of the season to feed birds or save seeds for next year’s planting.
