What Makes Survival Garden Seeds Different - non-GMO heirloom seeds

Grow crisp, flavorful carrots with Imperator 58 Carrot Seeds from Survival Garden Seeds. This AAS-winning heirloom is known for its long, tapered orange roots, fine-grained texture, and outstanding sweetness. Imperator 58 carrots develop a tender bite and thin, easy-to-peel skin, making them an excellent choice for fresh eating straight from the garden.

With strong performance in traditional garden beds, containers, and planters, this variety delivers uniform roots that typically reach 7 to 9 inches in length and 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Imperator 58 is a dependable staple for home gardeners who want both productivity and exceptional flavor.

Sweet, Tender, and Uniform:

  • Produces long, tapered roots with fine-grained texture
  • Exceptionally sweet carrot flavor perfect for eating raw
  • Thin, easy-to-peel skin for simple preparation
  • Consistent size and shape for reliable harvests

Why Customers Love Imperator 58 Carrots:

  • AAS-winning heirloom with proven garden performance
  • Excellent choice for snacking, juicing, salads, and cooking
  • Grows well in both garden beds and containers
  • Attractive, uniform carrots that appeal to beginners and experienced growers alike

How to Grow:
Sow seeds directly outdoors in loose, well-drained soil after the danger of frost has passed. Carrots prefer deeply loosened soil to accommodate their long roots, especially for Imperator types. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep and keep soil consistently moist during germination. Thin seedlings to 2–3 inches apart for the best root development.
Provide full sun and steady moisture throughout the growing season. Avoid compacted soil and excessive nitrogen, as these can lead to misshapen roots.

Harvest & Use:
Harvest when roots are fully colored and reach their mature length. Pull gently by the tops or loosen with a garden fork. For storage, trim greens to one inch and keep roots refrigerated or in a cool, humid space. Imperator 58 maintains its sweet flavor and crisp texture when stored properly.
