- Hardy and High-Yielding - Argenteuil Purple Asparagus is an early and prolific variety. It matures into a tall, fern-like plant with striking purple tipped spears that will survive for years in the vegetable garden if properly cared for. The crowns (roots) can be divided every few years to create new beds.
- Versatile Crop - Argenteuil Asparagus produces large turions with pink scales. To grow as a white asparagus, cover or blanch the spears before they develop green chlorophyll. When allowed to develop normally, spears will be in shades of green and purple. The delicious vegetables are ideal for canning, grilling, roasting, steaming, or enjoying raw in salads.

Our seeds will generally last for 3-10 years if they are appropriately stored in a cool, dry place. However, we encourage you to grow your survival seeds within a year or two of purchase. This yields the best germination rates possible and also gives you more experience growing survival food now. At the end of the growing season, follow the instructions on the back of each packet for saving seeds for future gardens. These new seeds for survival will be more adapted to thrive in the growing conditions where you are.
