  • Growing Instructions
    Sow directly in late autumn or early spring, or start inside 10-12 weeks before last frost date. Ideal soil temperature for transplanting is 60-70°. Seedlings can be planted 6" deep or hilled once established to preserve the white stems. Space plants 6-8" apart.
  • Seed Saving Instructions
    Leeks are biennial, so allow a few stalks to continue to mature for a second year. After flowers have faded and seeds have turned dark, cut stalks and dry in a paper bag. After 3-4 days, shake seeds free, label and store.
