Microgreens sprout in just days, are super easy to grow and packed with nutrition
Red Romaine lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) is a cos type lettuce that grows into an upright head of sturdy leaves with a sweet, slightly bitter flavor that can stand on its own or be mixed with other salad greens or spring mix. The burgundy-red color of the outer leaves contrasts with a paler inner heart that is usually yellow or green.
Net Wt. 800MG
Sow outside as soon as soil is able to be worked, or start inside 3-4 weeks ahead of time for earlier growing season. Before planting outside, harden seedlings to outside conditions for 2-3 days. Plant in fertile, well-draining rich soil, spaced 12" apart. Water well and keep moist for succulent leaves.
Once flowers are fluffy and dry, harvest entire head and shake loose seeds into paper bag. Continue to dry for 2 weeks before separating seeds from chaff. Label and store for up to 5 years.
