    Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, or plant outdoors in fall for spring growth. If growing indoors, cold stratify seeds by storing in a refrigerator for 4-6 weeks prior to planting. Barely cover seeds with soil; light is necessary for germination. Transplant seedlings outdoors 18-24" apart in well-drained soil.

    Allow plants to flower and form seed capsules. Harvest capsules, separate seeds from chaff, and allow to dry for an additional week. Label and store for up to 3 years.
