- Three California Poppy Varieties - Includes 3 varieties of the beautiful California poppy: standard, Golden West, and Mikado. This striking flower is native to California, and is drought and heat tolerant. They can be grown as a perennial in warm climates, or as an annual in areas with frost. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators are attracted to these lovely wildflowers.
- Also Includes Flanders Poppy - This native European wildflower is also known as Red Corn Poppy or Papaver rhoeas. It is a symbol of memorial and hope, especially connected to World War I remembrance. Its saucer shaped blooms have bright red tissue-paper petals with deep black centers. Corn poppies grow to be 12” to 30” tall.
California Poppy is a resilient wildflower that thrives throughout the United States. The brilliant orange flowers grow atop 12-18" plants and bloom for weeks in spring and fall.
Golden West is a California poppy with sunny yellow petals and orange hearts. Easy to grow and highly drought-tolerant, this cheery flower can bring a splash of color to almost any area.
Mikado California Poppy has four sunny red-orange petals that open and close with the sun. An excellent choice for mass plantings and meadows. Butterflies and bees love this pollen-rich poppy.
Red Corn Poppy, also known as Flanders Poppy, is native to Europe. The distinctive 3-4" blooms are bright red with deep black centers and reach 12-30" tall. In mild climates, this hardy annual can be planted in fall or early spring.

No, we do not pre-treat our farmer seeds. All of our garden seeds for sale are untreated, open-pollinated, non-GMO, and heirloom varieties. They are kept in temperature-controlled cooler storage until they are packed and shipped to keep them pest and disease-free.

The seeds in our collections are specifically chosen from varieties that can be successfully grown from Zone 3 to Zone 10 USDA Hardiness Zones. However, individual varieties have specific needs to thrive in different environments. Each seed pack has optimal temperatures for germination and instructions on seed starting. Consult local frost dates to plan your garden and get the most out of your seeds.

Our seeds will generally last for 3-10 years if they are appropriately stored in a cool, dry place. However, we encourage you to grow your survival seeds within a year or two of purchase. This yields the best germination rates possible and also gives you more experience growing survival food now. At the end of the growing season, follow the instructions on the back of each packet for saving seeds for future gardens. These new seeds for survival will be more adapted to thrive in the growing conditions where you are.
