What Makes Survival Garden Seeds Different - non-GMO heirloom seeds

Add a burst of sunshine to your summer garden with Yellow Petite Watermelon Seeds from Survival Garden Seeds. This small, round watermelon variety delivers rich sweetness and brilliant color in a compact size perfect for smaller spaces. Producing 5–7 pound fruits with bright yellow flesh, Yellow Petite combines delicious flavor with early maturity—ideal for short growing seasons or limited garden space.

Exceptionally Sweet & Fragrant:
The tender, golden-yellow flesh of the Yellow Petite Watermelon is juicy, aromatic, and bursting with honey-like sweetness. Its deep green striped rind provides a beautiful contrast to the sunny interior, creating a melon that’s as stunning on the table as it is refreshing to eat.

Compact, Reliable, and Early to Harvest:
This early-maturing variety thrives even in cooler climates where long-season watermelons may not perform as well. Compact vines make it a great choice for raised beds, small plots, and home gardeners looking to maximize space without sacrificing flavor.

Why Gardeners Love Yellow Petite Watermelon:

  • Bright yellow flesh with exceptional sweetness and aroma
  • Compact 5–7 lb fruits—perfect for small gardens and single households
  • Early-maturing variety suited to cooler regions and short growing seasons
  • Non-GMO heirloom seed with reliable germination and growth
  • Ideal for raised beds, patios, or backyard gardens
  • Fits easily in the refrigerator for single-meal servings or snacks

How to Grow:
Start seeds indoors 2–4 weeks before the last frost or sow directly outdoors once soil reaches 70°F. Plant in full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Space vines 2–3 feet apart in rows 5–6 feet apart. Keep soil consistently moist until fruit sets, then reduce watering as melons ripen to enhance sweetness. Harvest about 70–80 days after planting, when the underside turns creamy yellow and the tendril near the stem dries.

Harvest & Enjoy:
Chill your Yellow Petite watermelon before slicing for the sweetest flavor. Perfect for picnics, desserts, and refreshing summer snacks, its petite size and golden hue make it a family favorite for both taste and convenience.
