Delicata Winter Squash is an heirloom winter squash that has been around since 1894. The 1-3 lb fruits store well, thanks to their hard yellow skin with green stripes. The sweet orange flesh inside has a high sugar content with a flavor similar to sweet potatoes.

Started indoors in January, all 4 seeds grew, are thriving, can't wait to try them. The photo on the seed pkt doesnt match the description IMO, but we shall see based on the germination period, whst we end up with. So far, Ivory with green striping and about 20 days out from harvest. The pic only looks yellow because of the sun shining through all the forest fire smoke we have.
There was 83% germination or 5 of 6 seeds planted by 2 weeks. I did not plant all the seeds in the packet. At one month seedlings are healthy and strong.
