Beet Microgreens Seeds - Sweet Flavor
Survival Garden Seeds offers high-quality beet microgreens seeds, ideal for those who want to enrich their diet with potent greens. Our non-GMO seeds are chosen for their rapid growth and vibrant color, ensuring a quick and visually appealing harvest.
Beet microgreens are the young seedlings of the beetroot plant. Enjoyed for their earthy flavor and impressive nutritional profile, these small plants provide a significant dose of vitamins C, A, and K, and essential minerals such as iron and magnesium. Their deep red color adds visual appeal, indicating a high level of phytonutrients, including betalains, known for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Sow beet microgreens seeds densely on a shallow tray filled with a fine potting mix or soilless medium like coconut coir. Lightly press the seeds into the medium. Mist and cover to retain moisture and block out light for 6-8 days. After a few inches of growth appear, remove from darkness. Place the tray in an area with bright direct light to allow them to continue to develop color and mature.
Beet microgreens grow fast. They’re ready for harvesting in about 14 to 21 days. Use scissors to harvest when they are 2 to 3 inches tall. Cut them just above the soil line. To obtain most nutrients and flavor, use them straight after harvest.
Start growing beet microgreens at home. It will be fast, simple, and enjoyable and will boost your intake of essential nutrients. The pretty colors and rich flavor make micro beets a beneficial green leafy vegetable for growing in your home.
