Survival Garden Seeds Recognized as Idaho Small Business of the Month

Survival Garden Seeds Recognized as Idaho Small Business of the Month

A Proud Moment for Our Team

We’re honored to share that Survival Garden Seeds has been named Idaho Small Business of the Month for January 2026 by U.S. Senator Jim Risch. The recognition has also been entered into the Congressional Record of the United States Senate.

Each month, Senator Risch highlights an Idaho small business that reflects the values of hard work, entrepreneurship, and commitment to community. We’re humbled and grateful to be recognized.

For those who don’t know our story, Survival Garden Seeds was founded in 2020, inspired by the historic Victory Garden movement and a belief that growing food at home strengthens families and communities. Our family business moved operations from a small warehouse in Utah to our new facility in Idaho in late 2024. We’ve been flourishing in the small town of Rigby since the move.

We manage everything from production to packaging to distribution in-house, and even design our own seed-packing equipment. This attention to detail allows us to remain focused on quality and reliability. Education has always been central to our mission, as longtime readers of this blog will know. We continue to support gardening through partnerships with local food banks and community gardens. Most recently, we’ve expanded our outreach, offering community classes and events in our warehouse to those in the Rigby area.

This recognition belongs to our entire team, both in Idaho and working remotely, and to the customers and community who support what we do. We’re proud to grow here in Idaho and thankful for the opportunity to help more people become confident, capable gardeners.
